Warum überhaupt?Why at all?
Lässt du Bitcoin auf einer Börse liegen, hast du oft nur einen Anspruch gegen den Anbieter. Der kann pleitegehen, gehackt werden, dein Konto sperren oder Auszahlungen stoppen. Das ist schon mehrfach passiert. Mit Selbstverwahrung kann nur bewegen, wer den Schlüssel hat. Dafür gibt es niemanden, der einen verlorenen Schlüssel wiederherstellt.If you leave bitcoin on an exchange, you often only have a claim against the provider. It can go bust, get hacked, freeze your account or stop withdrawals. That has happened several times. With self-custody, only whoever has the key can move the coins. In return, there is nobody who restores a lost key.

Nicht die Bitcoin selbst, sondern den privaten Schlüssel. Den sicherst du als Seed, eine Folge von 12 oder 24 Wörtern. Wer diese Wörter hat, hat deine Bitcoin. Wer sie verliert und kein Gerät mehr hat, hat sie auch nicht mehr.Not the bitcoin themselves, but the private key. You back it up as a seed, a sequence of 12 or 24 words. Whoever has these words has your bitcoin. Whoever loses them and no longer has a device does not have them either.
Schritt 1: Wallet wählenStep 1: Choose a wallet
Für Bitcoin, die du länger hältst, ist eine Hardware-Wallet üblich. Der Schlüssel bleibt auf dem Gerät und verlässt es nicht. Eine App-Wallet auf dem Handy ist bequemer, aber dem Internet näher. The key stays on the device and does not leave it. A wallet app on the phone is more convenient, but closer to the internet. I do not recommend brands. Schritt 2: Seed offline sichernStep 2: Back up the seed offline
Schreib die Wörter von Hand auf Papier oder übertrag sie auf Metall. Prüf jedes Wort. Bewahre das Backup an einem sicheren Ort auf, geschützt gegen Feuer und Wasser.Write the words down by hand on paper or transfer them to metal. Check every word. Keep the backup in a safe place, protected against fire and water.

Schritt 3: Wiederherstellung testenStep 3: Test the recovery
Bevor du nennenswert Bitcoin überträgst, prüf, ob dein Backup funktioniert. Setz die Wallet zurück und stell sie mit deinen Wörtern wieder her, oder nutz die Prüffunktion deines Geräts, wenn es eine hat. Danach muss dieselbe Empfangsadresse erscheinen wie vorher. Ein Backup, das nie getestet wurde, ist eine Hoffnung.Before you move any real amount of bitcoin, check that your backup works. Reset the wallet and restore it with your words, or use your device's check function if it has one. Afterwards the same receive address must appear as before. A backup that was never tested is a hope.
Schritt 4: Adresse prüfen, klein anfangenStep 4: Check the address, start small
Lass dir die Empfangsadresse anzeigen und vergleich sie auf dem Display des Geräts mit der Adresse am Computer. Schadsoftware kann Adressen austauschen. Schick zuerst einen kleinen Betrag und prüf, ob er ankommt. Erst dann folgt der Rest.Show the receive address and compare it on the device's screen with the address on the computer. Malware can swap addresses. Send a small amount first and check that it arrives. Only then does the rest follow.
Schritt 5: Regelmäßig übertragenStep 5: Transfer regularly
Viele kaufen über eine Börse und übertragen ihre Bitcoin in festen Abständen auf die eigene Wallet. Wie oft das sinnvoll ist, hängt von den Gebühren und deiner Lage ab. Prüf die Adresse jedes Mal am Gerät.Many people buy on an exchange and move their bitcoin to their own wallet at fixed intervals. How often makes sense depends on fees and your situation. Check the address on the device every time.
Schritt 6: Nachlass bedenkenStep 6: Think about inheritance
Überleg, wie deine Angehörigen im Notfall an die Bitcoin kommen, ohne dass es zu Lebzeiten unsicher wird. Zum Beispiel eine Anleitung, die sagt, wo das Backup liegt und was zu tun ist, aber die Wörter selbst nicht enthält.Think about how your relatives can get to the bitcoin in an emergency without making it unsafe during your lifetime. For example, instructions that say where the backup is and what to do, but that do not contain the words themselves.

Vla Strategie verwahrt keine Coins und keine Schlüssel. Ich sehe nie deinen Seed. Wer nach deinem Seed fragt, ist mit sehr hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit ein Betrüger, auch wenn er sich als Vla Strategie ausgibt.Vla Strategie holds no coins and no keys. I never see your seed. Anyone who asks for your seed is very likely a scammer, even if they claim to be Vla Strategie.
